Hello - I am replacing a round Honeywell thermostat with a non-programmable digital Honeywell unit. The advanced programming was great. Using this you can figure any digital thermostat that uses battery backup.
Either another web site or address would help. Instead of the part that was supposed to come off, the insides came out with all the buttons and the lcd screen. This mod is commonly performed using the Hunter brand residential thermostat.
I was able to stick my fingers into the thermostat wire hole and using two fingers, carefully screw it on while holding the front of the switch with my other hand. Is this going to drain my batteries faster?

For Honeywell Wall TF type Thermostats connect the white wire coming to the thermostat from the heater or air conditioner to the Y terminal, not the W terminal. You need to check voltage at the wires, you should have 24v if not you may need a technician to come out if you are not familiar with furnaces Answered by: It was about 30 bucks. The switch connects the 12v to the high or low fan speed. Rated 5 out of 5 by Al from This thermostat is great!!
