Most often the blue wire from the head unit stereo is to connect to the REM remote line on an amp. In other words, my car needs a bigger amplifier to support the subwoofer.

Make sure that you use cables with the correct resistance or impedance for your setup. My amp is already installed and I just bought a new sub.
